Back to work ↗Every bag gives. Every season gets a world.
GivePet sells limited-run treats, each pack with its own illustrated character, and gives treats to shelters with every bag sold. Whiskey Design designs the packs and directs the work. I build it in 3D: the pouches, the sets around them, and a system that shows the whole range the same way.
From two Halloween bags to the whole range.
It started with two pouches on a Halloween table. Over four years it grew into a set for each seasonal release, imagery for a product line before it launched, and front-and-back renders of 23 products for the store.
The giving model is printed on the back of every pouch: for every bag sold, GivePet donates enough treats for at least ten shelter dogs or cats. The renders keep that back panel readable, because it is the brand's reason to exist.

The art arrives flat.
Each pouch starts as a print dieline. In 3D it becomes a stand-up bag with a crimped top seal, soft folds at the gusset and a gloss that moves across the illustration, and the type has to stay sharp through all of it.

Three astronauts, made before launch.
GivePet's first freeze-dried line has a space crew on its packs: Astromutt, Space Cowboy and Mars Rover. The line launched in early 2025; these were made in December 2024, ahead of it. A first round tried four directions (a planet surface, open space, a UFO and a planet); the finals combine them into one world built from the pack art itself.

Sugar and Spice.
Two soft-baked flavours for Valentine's Day, set like a gift: candy hearts, cinnamon sticks and honey on a pink table, with the treats themselves in front of the bags.

A party for the day they came home.
Birthday Bash and Gotcha Day Paw-ty mark a pet's birthday and their adoption day. Whiskey Design set the world and colour palette; I built it with balloons, confetti and a balloon dog, and close-ups for the cake and party-hat illustrations.

Santa Claws and Naughty or Mice.
The cat line's holiday pair, under the tree with ornaments, string lights, wrapping paper and two toy mice watching the bags.

Two bags and a pumpkin.
The earliest GivePet renders on file: Love Bites, a vampire chihuahua, and Howl-O-Ween, a Frankenstein dog. The styled table set here carried into every season after it.

Close enough to read.
The 2023 and 2024 sets were delivered at 6000 × 4500, a 20-inch print at 300 dpi. These are unscaled crops from those files: the small type, the brush texture in the illustrations and the sheen on the film all hold.

Twenty-three products, one system.
Seasonal worlds launch a collection, but a store needs every product shown the same way. Most of the range shares one pouch, so I built one setup: the pouch model, a label swapped in per product, and a fixed camera and light. A larger 11 oz bag covers the biscuits and the freeze-dried lines. A new flavour drops in and renders consistent with the rest, front and back.
The print files carry silver ink as a magenta separation, so each label had to be read for where the metal goes; the moon and fangs on Love Bites and parts of Muttcracker turn back to silver in the render.

One file, every format.
Because the sets were delivered at print size, the same files cover the web, print and every crop a feed needs. This eight-post carousel is cut from them with no re-rendering: the line-up, three close-ups, a slide per season, the catalog and the bulk box.
